Hi Xero I like Xero but I am not happy with your prices. If you would like the accountants to introduce your services then charge less. I think the UK Xero chief is getting it all wrong, yet again and again. When Payroll was rolled out we included one employee in the existing Standard price plan and introduced new Premium 10, Premium 20, Premium 50 and Premium plans with updated pricing to factor in the value of Payroll. The overwhelming feedback we have received was that including one employee was not useful for most of the vast majority customers and that many did not want to jump up to Premium 10 and get ten employees.
This is why we have decided to enable payroll to be added onto any plan and include five employees. So for those businesses not using or needing Payroll on Premium there is a price decrease. Sharon, that is correct. Standard will have no payroll employees from October and payroll will need to be added. Justin, the other inclusions and limits still apply with the only change being the unbundling of payroll to give more flexibility.
So Premium will still include multi-currency. Glad that we never even looked at it. Why bother to do it ourselves? Shahzad — Thanks for liking Xero. I accept that some people will have always have a preference a lower cost solution and the trade-off that brings, but ultimately the market sets the price.
I accept that pricing of Xero or any software product will change over time and the 12 month breathing space helps. Or make the Starter plan a bit more useful by increasing the number of bank transactions per month. Totally agree with you Mark! If you have only staff you are being charged marginally more per employee.
